The Speyside Whisky Trail has seven working distilleries and the only Cooperage in Britain with a visitor centre.
The cooperage is an essential part of The Speyside Whisky industry, manufacturing casks for many of the distilleries. Little has changed in the methods in the last two hundred years of their manufacture

Founded in 1840 the only distillery named after its owners. Today you can witness James grants legacy on a guided tour and see the magnificent shining copper stills that produce a malt of unique quality and crisp fresh character.
A small authentic working distillery, where you will have an unforgettable insight into how water and barley are transformed into “the water of life’’ or more commonly known in the Highlands as Uisge Beatha.
This has to be the most comprehensive and interesting of tours as it includes the chance to smell whisky ageing in all types of barrels, madeira, sherry and bourbon.
Dating back over 230 years to 1786, Strathisla is the oldest working distillery; today enjoy a relaxed and informal tour with a guide sharing stories and anecdotes on the history of the distillery and their famous whiskies.
